NHS Athletics
Northwood High School participates in the Hogoheegee District in athletics. Other district schools include: Chilhowie HS, Holston HS, Honaker HS, Patrick Henry HS, and Rural Retreat HS

All athletes are required to have a VHSL physical form on file with the school. Physicals are valid for 14 months from the date of the physical exam. Physicals are required to participate in off-season workouts and open gyms, including summer camps.
All athletes must meet VHSL and Smyth County academic eligibility requirements in order to try-out and participate.

SPORTS SEASON PARENT & ATHLETE MEETINGS are held at the beginning of each season. These meetings are required for each athlete and a parent or guardian.
